Coaching
The difference between good writing and great writing is that great writing contains what I call the “big three”: clarity, brevity and flow. ALL great writing is based on these guiding principles. Using them, plus simple, easy-to-use writing strategies, you can overcome almost any obstacle in the way of getting your ideas onto the page. Writing doesn’t have to be a struggle. It can be fun! My objective is to build confidence and cultivate each writer’s unique voice using writing strategies and techniques developed from years of teaching and coaching writers. The way I work is to do a series of investigative interviews, in which I draw out the core strengths that make the writing unique. The key is asking the right questions. Ultimately, it becomes a brainstorming session which allows the full range of ideas to flow. I’ve found the results of this technique to be far superior than simply generating and editing copy.
