Can Anyone Access The Akashic Records?

This question comes up often with those who receive readings from me and students in my classes. The simple answer is absolutely! And yet, there are a number of important things to know to make it easier, safer and receive a deeper and more meaningful reading.

Before I get into that, I want to spend a little time on intuitive gifts. We all have them. We’re all intuitive and empathic to varying degrees. The difference lies in how sensitive we are and also how much we pay attention to what’s coming through to us. We all have abilities to read the field, so to speak, which some might consider psychic gifts such as clairaudience (hearing), clairsentience (feeling), clairvoyance (seeing), claircognizance (knowing), etc . In many people these abilities are simply undeveloped or even denied.

The good news is that intuitive gifts—I prefer the word “intuitive” over the word “psychic”—can always be cultivated. It takes regular practice as well as a commitment to trust and follow what one receives.

How are intuitive gifts connected with the Akashic Records?

The stronger one’s intuition is, the easier it is to receive information in the Records. Why? Because the information often initially shows up as a feeling, an image, a knowing or string of words. The key to making sense out of those seemingly random threads of an answer is to trust them and allow them to expand into a more coherent message, which they usually do. We cannot be tense or in a rush. It’s essential to stay open, relaxed and calm with no agenda or attachment to a specific outcome. Then the reading with flow.

Consider the first few impressions you receive, a teaser which then opens up into a full stream of information.

This is not meant to be discouraging. Actually, it’s exactly the opposite. Regularly accessing your Akashic Records is one of the best ways to strengthen your intuitive gifts. It gives you the opportunity to practice being present, listening and receiving messages. This will help you to do that when you’re not in the Records as your go about your day’s activities. It will also help you understand your dreams at a deeper level.

Eventually, tuning into your intuitive gifts will feel as natural as breathing, and it will be a tool you use in every aspect of your life.

Finally, accessing your Akashic Records can be fun! I find that the enlightened beings in the Records have a warm and joyful sense of humor that makes the experience of being in the Records feel as though you’re among loving friends.
