A Long-Awaited Dream is Finally Realized!
My book is here!
The journey began back in the summer of 2011 when I launched a Meetup group with my friend Adam, called Creative Alchemy. The intention of the group was to bring all types of creative people together (artists, writers, actors, filmmakers, musicians, etc.) and every other week discuss a topic related to the creative process. Once a quarter, we held a showcase in which we shared our work. We met for almost a year and a half. It was inspiring and one of the best group experiences I ever had.
I learned so much from this experience that in January 2014, I decided to create a six-week e-course using the material that made up the foundation of our discussions. Of course, I ended up creating even more content and received wonderful feedback from the students during the course, and long after it had ended, that it had a great impact on their creative process.
I knew I wanted to do more, so I wrote a book. It's called Creative Alchemy: Accessing the Extraordinary Power of the Muse to Transform Your Art & Your Life. It's been a long, and at times, heartbreaking journey (happy to share the details for those of you who are interested) with a steep learning curve (the writing part was easy, the publishing part was hard). I'm sure I could do another book in a fraction of the time.
The good news is that it's done and I'm excited to share it with you! I poured my heart and soul into it, and I didn't do it alone. I had lots of help along the way.
Twelve women contributed creative stories.
My sister Liz designed the cover (using one of her paintings) and title page.
My client Morgan did the copy editing.
My friends Joel and Adam funded different aspects of the project.
A few beta readers gave me some valuable feedback.
My family, friends and coaches encouraged me.
Most importantly, my Muse inspired and guided me every step of the way.
I bow to all of you with deep gratitude and love.
If you'd like to buy a copy of my book (it would make a wonderful gift), you will find it at Amazon. It is also available at the following online stores:
Barnes and Noble
Note: Still working out a few details with these stores, so I recommend purchasing it through Amazon for now.
No pressure, but as you know reviews help sell books, so if you feel inspired, I'd love for you to leave a review (please be kind....sharing one's creative work with the world is a vulnerable and courageous act).
