How to Get the Most Out of Your Akashic Records Reading

The first time you book an Akashic Records reading is often full of excitement and anticipation. You will soon learn things about yourself, your relationships, your career and your soul journey that you may not have known before. You may learn something about a past life or receive a message from a loved one that has died. The Records themselves are at such a high frequency, just being in them can be healing.

This is a big deal. It’s a lot to hold, and it can be a life-changing experience.

To help you prepare for that experience, I’ve written a list of suggestions to help you get the most our of your time in the Records. A little preparation and planning can go a long way in facilitating a reading that is insightful and inspiring as well as full of guidance, validation and blessings.

Receptivity - Make sure you’re in a receptive place. It is important to drop from your intellect into your heart. It is the heart that is most able to receive what comes through the Records. You’ll receive as much as you are open to and able to receive. In addition to the meditation we’re going to discuss when we talk about the Seven-Step process, I recommend that when you’re planning to access your Records that you only do it when you have uninterrupted time, a quiet space and a calm presence.

Trust - Enter into the Records in a state of trust: of yourself, of me as your reader, of the Records, of your masters, teachers and loved ones and of the overall process. If you don’t feel a sense of trust, it will block your ability to be receptive.

Pure intentions - Make sure your intentions are sincere and humble. Occasionally, I encounter people who approach receiving a reading as a source of entertainment, like an oracle or divination or getting their fortune told. What they receive is usually quite superficial. In my experience, the Records pick up on your intentions and the answers you receive are based on the purity of your intentions. If you are truly seeking answers about some important decisions, relationships or circumstances in your life, you will receive much more in-depth answers.

Childlike curiosity - Be curious. If you enter the Records with the curiosity and wonder of a child you will have a much better experience than if you enter with an agenda or set of rigid expectations. It’s important to respect the magic and mystery of the etheric realm and allow yourself to be surprised and awed through being genuinely curious what you might learn or discover.

Appreciation and reverence. Have an attitude of gratitude. Deep appreciation for what you receive in the Records keeps the frequency high and shows that you are approaching the Records with reverence. Again, your frequency is read and responded to while you’re in the Records, so the more open-hearted you are, the better your overall experience.

Be specific. Zero in on what you really want to know. Broad questions give you broad answers. Focus on the nuances and details of the situations, relationships and issues in your questions, and you’ll receive answers that will be far more helpful and insightful.

Feel feel to share. Don’t withhold! It’s okay to speak during a reading. In fact, it can trigger deeper answers to your questions because you are contributing to the process with your vocal tones and energy. Adding context to a question allows the reader (me) to go in a particular direction to gather relevant information and guidance for you.

These suggestions will allow you to be an active participant in the reading. In fact, the best readings are a co-creation between the reader and the person receiving the reading. The exchange between the two are what add the greatest amount of depth, color and dynamic energy to the reading.
